Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Out Budget. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Out Budget.

1. The service

Out Budget (the “Service”) is a personal finance application provided by Lorenzo Bergamini, sole proprietor based in the United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). The Service helps you forecast and track personal finances across multiple currencies. It is not financial advice; decisions you make based on the Service are your own.

2. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials secret and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Free trial

New accounts receive a 45-day free trial with full access to all features on the Pro plan. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service. If you choose not to subscribe, your account will be downgraded and you retain read-only access to your data for 30 days before it is deleted.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

Subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe at the price and frequency shown at checkout (monthly or annual). Plans renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then.

We offer a 14-day refund window on the first paid bill: email support@outbudget.com within 14 days of being charged for the first time and we’ll refund without questions. Subsequent renewals are non-refundable except where required by law.

Prices may change. We will give at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase takes effect on your subscription.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service.
  • Use the Service to store data that doesn’t belong to you, or to process anyone else’s personal data without their consent.
  • Attempt to access another user’s account or data.
  • Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service except as part of a good-faith vulnerability disclosure (see the Security page).
  • Use the Service for anything illegal, abusive, or knowingly harmful.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written permission.

6. Your data

You own everything you put into Out Budget. We process it only to run the Service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your data as CSV at any time and delete your account at any time.

7. Intellectual property

We own the Service — the code, the design, the brand. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service while your account is in good standing.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific result will be achieved. The Service is not financial advice.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or lost data, even if advised of the possibility.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if you fail to pay for paid services, or if we believe your use poses a security or legal risk to us or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, governing law) survive.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be heard by the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Nothing in these terms removes consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. When we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and notify you by email. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you can cancel and export your data.
